    My First Charlotte Tilbury Haul

It's fair to say that Charlotte Tilbury has whipped up a storm since it launched, beautiful rose gold packaging and beautiful products! I'm not quite sure why it's taken my such a long time to make a purchase! However, when I was in London with my boyfriend a few weeks ago I couldn't resist having a nosy at the counter in Selfridges!

Let me tell you it was beautiful! I knew I wanted the Glastonberry Lipstick, I've seen it everywhere and the shade is perfect for this season! then when I was hit with "Is that everything?" my mind thought HELL NO. So of course I had to enquire about (surprise surprise) a brown nude lipstick. When the lady showed me Hepburn Honey watched on her hand I fell in love, I didn't even need to try it, I knew I wanted it there and then.

That evening I wore Glastonberry out for mexican food and I was so surprised at how comfortable it was for a matte lipstick! It lasted so well and I loved the colour! Then the next day I wore Hepburn Honey and I fell even more in love with these lipsticks! I thought hold the phone I have to go back and get more goodies! So I went back and picked up Iconic Nude Lipliner, Bad Romance Lipliner, Blondie Gloss and the infamous Kim K W Lipstick. There is nothing wrong with treating yourself people!!!

I am absolutely blown away by the quality of these lipsticks they truly are unbelievable. Recently I've been wearing Iconic Nude Lipliner, Hepburn Honey Lipstick and Blondie Gloss this is my current go to! I've also been pairing Kim K W Lipstick with MAC Whirl lipliner which I also love!

    (Swatches from top to bottom)
Blondie Gloss, Bad Romance lipliner, Iconic Nude lipliner, Hepburn Honey Lipstick, Glastonberry Lipstick and Kim K W Lipstick.

Have you tried any Charlotte Tilbury products? I'm in love with mine! Let me know what your favourite products are in the comments below! See you soon!

    LA Girl Pro Conceal Review

If you haven't heard of these concealers, where the hell have you been living? The LA Girl Pro Conceal is a product favoured by many, it is plastered across Pinterest and Instagram too. Not only are they good quality, but also affordable (£5? you can't go wrong). I picked up both of mine from BeautyBay.com

I picked up the Orange Corrector and the concealer in the shade Creamy Beige. I wouldn't say my under eyes are that bad in terms of dark circles, but having seen everybody going crazy on Instagram for colour correcting I thought I'd give it a go. Delivery from BeautyBay.com as always was super fast so they came within 2 or 3 days (just what you want when you've ordered makeup!).

I love this product so much. When I use the Orange Corrector I can definitely see a difference to when I don't use it. My under eyes just look more flawless than they would without. On Instagram videos everything is done so quickly and colour correcting can be quite daunting but these concealers blend out so easily you literally cannot go wrong. I apply the Orange Corrector first straight from the packaging under my eyes and blend it out. Then apply foundation and then concealer.

The concealer has more of a salmon tone to it than concealers I've used before, so it's even better at cancelling out dark circle tones. I've been using this concealer everyday, it's sorted of replaced my Maybelline one (dare I say it). I will definitely be repurchasing this when I run out!

The only thing I don't like about the product is the applicator. It's a brush which squeezes out the product, I'm not a fan of this type of applicator as I feel like I'm wasting product sometimes but it doesn't matter too much to me because the product isn't expensive.

That concludes my opinion of the LA Girl Pro Conceal! Let me know if you've tried this product in the comments below!

    Empty Products

I always feel a great deal of accomplishment when I use up a product. For me, knowing that I've used up a product means I'll 100% repurchase because I obviously loved it!

My first empty is my beloved Benefit Rollerlash. This is hands down my favourite mascara of all time. It's black, it curls, it stays all day, it doesn't transfer onto my skin midday and it's easy to remove. I need to repurchase another one of these ASAP, I don't know how long I can be without it!

Up next is MAC Strobe Cream. I'm not surprised this is empty as I've been using it as a primer underneath my foundation near enough everyday. Will definitely repurchase this as it makes my foundation look super glowy.

If you read my skincare post (click here if you haven't) you'll know how much I love the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo[+] and I'm so gutted that it's empty so I will definitely be picking up another one.

Last but not least is the Benefit Stay Don't Stray. I ran out of this a while ago and I've been using a concealer in replacement of this as an eyeshadow primer and although a concealer works well, nothing works as good as this.

Have you finished off any products recently? Will you repurchase? Let me know in the comments below! See you soon!

    April Favourites

Coming up to the end of the month now so it's a monthly favourites post of course! I only have two products that I can actually say are my true favourites this month.

My first favourite is the MAC Mineralise Skinfinish in the shade Give Me Sun. I picked this up whilst I was in London a few weeks ago after seeing youtuber Desi Perkins use it. I was using the NARS bronzer in the shade Laguna before this but as we're coming up to summer I wanted a warmer bronzer than what I was using, I really wanted to look like a bronzed goddess like I'd been to the Maldives for a fortnight. The product itself looks extremely daunting and very orange in its packaging but because I have a medium skintone it doesn't look orange on my skin, it looks super bronzey and really gives that summer glow! This is the bronzer I've been reaching for every single day and the product itself is beautiful, I know this is going to be my summer bronzer this year.

My second and last favourite is the NARS All Day Luminous Weightless foundation (what a mouthful). I purchased this around November time and at first I didn't get on with it I really hated it and I felt like it made me look cakey. A few weeks back I came back to this foundation and tried it again with a different foundation brush to the one which I was using when I first purchased it. With this foundation a little goes a long way, because it is so pigmented the smallest amount goes a long way so if you use too much it can look like a mask on your face. But carrying on with the way I've been applying it, I have fell in love. Its a matte finish, lasts all day and doesn't feel heavy on the skin at all. It sets well and truly is my favourite foundation this month (and it comes with a pump which is a blessing for everyone!)

That's my miniature April favourites this month! What are yours? Let me know in the comments! See you soon!

    Hangover Makeup

If you're lucky enough to have a full day of doing nothing when you have a hangover then you are winning, because for most of us that isn't the case. After a night out, sleep is a must so getting up early to do a burgundy smokey eye is the last thing on anyones mind. I just throw on some makeup that'll make me look more awake but isn't too time consuming because I need that extra hour in bed.

Moisturing is always key after a night out because it's highly unlikely that you stumbled in and did a full evening cleanse, tone and moisturise routine before your head hit the pillow (we're all guilty) so putting the moisture back into your skin is a good way to start. I use La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo it's hydrating but it's not thick in consistency which makes it perfect for under makeup.

L'oreal True Match foundation is great as a hangover foundation because of it's luminosity so your skin will appear brighter and more awake. The coverage is good too but the foundation itself isn't very long lasting. Concealer is a must to hide your tired eyes, Maybelline Eraser Eye is my favourite.

No one has the time or the effort to use one powder for baking and the other for the rest of the face so a light dusting of the holy grail Laura Mercier Loose Translucent Setting Powder is a quick and easy way to set the foundation.

Bronzer is good for putting colour and warmth back into the skin. MAC Mineralise Skinfinish in Give Me Sun is my new absolute favourite.

I find that brow pencils are easy to work with to create a good shape without the effort of a pomade and brush. For hangover days (and hangover days only!) I sway away from my beloved dipbrow and just lightly define my brows with a MAC brow pencil in Lingering

Last but not least is a coat of mascara to try and make my eyes look more awake!

That's my recipe for hangover makeup, I suggest you pair this makeup with Netflix and carbs. Let me know what your key products for hangover makeup in the comments below! See you soon!

    March Favourites

March has been a great month for me, it was my birthday month and the clocks have gone forward in the UK making mornings brighter which means I can finally be a morning person again! So here are some products which have been my absolute gems this month!

MAC Powder Blush in Melba. This is a very strange favourite for me because if you know me well enough you will know that I HATE wearing blusher. Having blusher on just reminds me of when I was 13 and over generously packing on those bright pink W7 blushers we all had (don't deny it because we all did!) and ever since I've always been a bronzer girl. However, as I mentioned in September I am on a makeup course and when I received my MAC kit there were two MAC blushers in it (Melba and Blushbaby) which obviously I have used but never on myself. I'm not sure what came over me but one day I reached for the Melba blush in my pro palette whilst doing my makeup and now I'm in love! Beware as it is very pigmented so use it sparingly but it looks great between bronzer and highlight on the cheeks. It's a matte blush so it looks natural and it is described as a soft coral-peach, perfect for the upcoming spring and summer!

MAC Strobe Cream. I love this product so much. I won't get carried away as I did mention it in my How To: Flawless Base post and my Highlight Collection post too. I use a small amount of Strobe Cream as a primer to make my skin glow through my foundation, usually I wear it alone however sometimes I do mix it with my primer.

L'oreal True Match Foundation. I am so late jumping on this bandwagon purely because I always find a foundation I like and stick to it for a long time. But whilst on my course a makeup artist came in to do a master class with us and she used this foundation on her model and it looked stunning! So obviously I had to buy it! I never thought I would say this about a drugstore foundation but I really really love it. The colour matches my fake tan perfectly, the coverage is great and I personally don't think it feels heavy on the skin. I just wish it lasted a little bit longer, it lasts well but as I'm coming to the end of a long day it is starting to come off on my chin area which is something which my MAC Studio Fix foundation wouldn't do but for half the price I think I can let it go.

MAC Lipstick in Myth. Back at it again with the MAC! You're all probably so bored of me talking about MAC now! But this has been my favourite lipstick this month so I can't not talk about it. Myth is a satin lipstick and it is described as a light neutral nude. I use MAC Stripdown lipliner all over my lip and then use this over the top and I'm good to go.

Left swatch is MAC Blush in Melba and right swatch is MAC lipstick in Myth.

Those are my favourites for this month let me know what yours are in the comments! See you soon!

    Highlight Collection Plus Swatches

If you know me you know I'm all about the glow. I love a popping highlight bright enough to be seen from the other side of the country. I have a small bundle of highlighters, some I use everyday and some I use very rarely.

From left to right the products are (Benefit Watts Up, MAC Strobe Cream, Benefit High Beam, MAC Mineralise Skinfinish in Lightscapade, theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer and MAC Mineralise Skinfinish in Global Glow).

Benefit Watts Up. This is a cream highlighter. Whenever I want a super strong highlight after I've applied my foundation I take this on my middle finger and tap it on the areas where I would usually apply a powder highlighter (tops of the cheekbones, tip of the nose, cupids bow) and then set it with a powder highlighter. I find that this creates a more intense highlight as it is using a cream and a powder highlight. It's important not to use the cream product when you've already set your foundation as the product will not blend properly and will look cakey.

MAC Strobe Cream. I'll not go into detail too much about this one as I did talk about it in my last post. However, I love using this under my foundation to make my skin look more radiant.

Benefit High Beam. I've never actually owned this as a full sized product I've always had samples of it or a minature and to be honest I don't think I use it enough to buy the full sized. I don't really favour pink toned highlighters however I do sometimes mix this with my foundation in the spring time just to give my foundation a bit of radiance.

MAC Mineralise Skinfinish in Lightscapade. This was the first powder highlighter I bought and I used to use it day in day out. However, I don't tend to reach for it as much any more as I do think it is a little too light for me now. But it's perfect for paler skin tones!

theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer. My holy grail. My baby. This has been my favourite highlighter for over a year now and I've used it pretty much everyday and I'm still on my first batch. This is the most beautiful, intense, champagne, popping highlight and I have no words to say other than you need this.

MAC Mineralise Skinfinish in Global Glow. This is a lot deeper than the rest of my highlighters but I love mixing it with the Mary-Lou Manizer just to create a more bronzed highlight. It's also great used on its own, lightly dusted on my temples on top of my bronzer on those days where I want a bronzed glow. I wouldn't recommend this to people with paler skintones as it could look quite muddy.

That wraps up my little bundle of happiness that of course is - highlighters! Let me know what your favourite highlighting/strobing products are! See you soon!

    MAC, Morphe and NYX Haul

Good morning! I do love Friday mornings, purely because I'm lucky enough to have Friday's off (even though they're usually spent catching up on college work). I was looking at my makeup yesterday morning and realised how many new products I've bought recently that I haven't yet talked about! There was too many to put in a single haul but here are a few of my favourites that have made it into this post.

So I'll start with the Morphe Gel Liner in Slate. I use the MAC gel liner in Blacktrack but it's started to go a bit dry and crumbles when I apply it (not glam) so I invested in this Morphe one just to try it out! I'm so impressed with it because it's so creamy and so black which is exactly what I wanted and it's cheaper and works just as good as my MAC one! I thought that because the liner was so creamy that it would transfer onto my lids but it didn't so i'm very impressed with this liner!

Of course there had to be a brush involved! I'm always on the hunt for new brushes and when I purchased the Morphe E23 brush I knew I probably wasn't going to get on with it as a blending brush. The best tip I can give is that natural bristles are better for blending eyeshadows than synthetic bristles. As this is a synthetic brush I knew I would find some use for it, what I like using this brush for is applying and blending out cream eyeshadows, the bristles are thicker and can properly blend out the cream seamlessly.

I'm a sucker for lip pencils especially MAC ones but I picked up two of these NYX lip pencils in the shades nude pink and nude truffle. Nude pink is good to pair with nude pink (no comment) lipsticks or applied all over the lips and a gloss on top looks good too! The lipliners are a bit dry they're definitely not my favourite but they're good for the price that they are.

Next up are my new MAC lipsticks! I don't know what it is but there is definitely something that excites me about a new MAC lipstick! The shades are from left to right Stone, Whirl, Kinda Sexy and Brave.

Stone is a cool toned dark brown, matte lipstick. Very 90s, I'm so on that vibe.

Whirl is a mauve matte lipstick, which kind of has a brownish undertone. I love this lipstick it's a statement but still a nude shade.

Kinda Sexy is a peachy pink nude matte lipstick, peachy toned lipsticks are not my thing but with spring coming up I'm determined to make myself wear these colours because they're so beautiful!

Last but not least is Brave which is a perfect medium pink satin lipstick, again perfect for spring coming up!

My MAC lipstick collection has more than doubled since my last MAC lipstick collection post so if an updated collection post would interest anyone feel free to comment and let me know. See you soon!

    February Favourites

The last week of February already? This month has been amazing for me especially after January which is everyones worst month out of the entire year. I've been away with my boyfriend, had some time off to myself, seen my friends and got to spend some time with my family also. I've also indulged in a few treats for myself (makeup treats, duh! What else would it be?) and now that life seems to have settled down back to normal after the hectic Christmas I'm back on my makeup game and trying out new products left, right and centre. So let's get started onto the products which I have been loving this month!

    MAC Prep+Prime Highlighter Pen
I have the shade Lightboost which is probably the most popular. This is a yellow toned liquid highlighter pen and I think it's great for highlighting the high points of the face (centre of the forehead, down the bridge of the nose, under the eyes and also a little underneath the cheekbones to sharpen the contour). What I love about this product is that it has a slight sheen so it brightens the skin beautifully and makes me look so much more awake and makes my skin look fresh, it blends easily and it is definitely not too heavy either so this can be put on top of foundation. I apply the product straight from the pen and blend it out with a Real Techniques Duofibre Contour Brush or a damp Beauty Blender and I feel like it adds more dimension to my face and makes my skin look so much more healthier.

    MAC Studio Fix Boldblack Lash
I've not heard many people talk about this mascara and honestly I don't think it receives the credit it deserves. Now, this is the first mascara I ever tried from MAC and I went through about three tubes of it before moving onto Benefit They're Real and then onto Rollerlash and  I've been using Rollerlash for a long time since it came out and it's been my number one. However, about two or three weeks ago I was sat at my desk doing my makeup, beating the face, slaying it etc and I spotted my boldblack mascara in my mascara section and I just used it because I haven't used it in so long and oh my goodness I forgot how BLACK this mascara is. Like wow I remembered why I loved this so much! And the reason why I've been using it so much is because I love wearing false lashes I wear them most of the time because I wasn't gifted with angel wings for lashes so because I wear lashes I'm not really looking for any length or volume in a mascara, I want a super black mascara that makes my natural lashes blend in with my false lashes and when this comes back in stock on the MAC website I'm definitely going to buy another because I've well and truly fell back in love with it.

    Makeup Geek Eyeshadows
Becca's talking about Makeup Geek eyeshadows again..shock. We all know how much I LIVE for these eyeshadows but this month in particular there's four shades that I've been particularly loving. (From left to right) Peach Smoothie, Creme Brulee, Frappe and Cocoa Bear have been little gems this month. So I've been using Peach Smoothie as my first transition shade with a MAC 224 brush and blend it into my crease and just up onto the brow bone and then go in with the Creme Brulee shade and do the same. Then taking a MAC 217 brush (major key) I blend Frappe into the crease and then using the same brush I blend Cocoa Bear into the crease again and i also blend this in the outer corner. By taking a darker colour and blending it into the crease each time it gives the illusion of a super deep socket and a larger lid. I pack any gold or copper colour onto the lid, smudge Frappe on the lower lash line pop on some falsies and I'm good to go and this has been my go-to eyeshadow look this month. This creates the most beautiful warm brown smokey eye (and you know I'm all about those warm eyeshadows) and I absolutely adore it. All my Makeup Geek eyeshadows are stored in a large Z palette (I've finally filled one full of Makeup Geek yay!) so all my favourites are kept together in one place!

    MAC Lip Conditioner
Last but not least is this little beauty. Now lipbalms are a struggle, some are sticky, some don't work, some are gooey and some are just completely irrelevant as hell. I've always struggled to find a nourishing lipbalm that I can pop on before my makeup and let it soak in until I do my lipstick, and I took a leap of faith with this one. This is very pricey for a lipbalm but oh my goodness..wow. You know how MAC lipsticks kind of smell a bit like Cadbury's mini eggs? This is the same! Which is amazing because duh it smells good but this is such a wonderful lipbalm. You just squeeze the tiniest amount out of the tube pop on a thin layer and let it soak in. It's so nourishing and rich but its not sticky or gooey whatsoever. I feel like I have finally solved all my lipbalm issues and that makes me incredibly happy.

Very unintentional that most of my favourites this month were from MAC that's just the way the cookie has crumbled in February. Let me know what your favourites have been this month in the comments as I would love to know!

    GlamGlow Supermud Clearing Treatment

The mask that saved my skin. I'm pretty sure I could just leave this blog post at that because that's exactly what it is! But I have too much to say about this little pot of heaven to leave it at that.

I'll start by saying my skin is not that bad. I have between normal and combination skin so I have large pores around my nose and I do have blackheads and the ocassional breakouts on my chin area but the rest of my skin is clear. However, around September I had a breakout on my chin which did not budge for months is was red and congested so it was really getting me down. I'd heard SO many good things about this mask especially from youtubers such as Katy from Lustrelux and Jaclyn Hill. But the price? Well. I didnt want to pay £35 for a face mask, I can justify spending £35 on a foundation or a palette but a face mask? I was reluctant. But I bit the bullet and thought to myself 'you know what Becca you should treat yourself' (as if I don't enough already). I ordered it from feelunique.com because the mask had money off it and I had a discount code as well which made purchasing it so much easier.

The packaging is to die for! When you open the box there's a little information booklet which says 'hello sexy'..oh GlamGlow you big smoothie. The information booklet lists all the ingredients in the mask and how they work (I won't go into all the technical stuff). So, obviously I took my makeup off straight away as I was so excited to try it regardless of the fact is was 2pm, when new products arrive you gotta do what you gotta do. I applied it just to my T zone and at first when applied to the skin it tingles but this goes away after 2 minutes or so. As the product dries (this is the best and most disgusting part) you can see little dots in the mask which is where the ingredients in the mask are drawing all the bacteria, oil and dirt out of the skin and storing it in the mask ready to be washed off. It's so fascinating to see the mask working! After leaving the mask on an hour or so I rinsed it off with warm water and the first thing I noticed was how the large pores around my nose were smaller! After using the mask twice a week for 3 weeks I have seen a big improvement in my skin, my pores are smaller and my breakout has near enough gone! Even my mum noticed how much my skin has cleared up. Overall, this mask is worth every single penny and I will definitely be repurchasing it as soon as it runs out.

Let me know what your favourite face masks are or if you've tried any of the GlamGlow products in the comments! See you soon!

Gerard Cosmetics Hydra Matte Liquid Lipsticks

Happy Friday! I am quite fortunate enough to have Fridays off and usually Thursdays and Fridays are my no makeup days (the skins gotta breathe), however with all the new makeup I've purchased recently I couldn't let a day of creativity go to waste! Last week I purchased two of the Gerard Cosmetics Hydra Matte Liquid Lipsticks and today is the day that I've put it to the test!

The two shades I purchased were Iced Mocha and Cher. Whilst having a long gander through the Gerard Cosmetics instagram page it took a long time to pick the two shades I wanted to purchase (obviously I wanted more but I needed to maintain some type of self control) so after ordering the two shades from Beauty Bay naturally I was refreshing my order tracking every hour until they arrived.

First things first, packaging. Black? Gold? LOVE IT. And the frosted tubes are just gorgeous! Iced Mocha is a brown toned shade with a bit of a cool undertone and Cher is a beautiful mauve shade which I LOVE.

Cher is the shade which I've tried and tested all day today and I'm impressed! I used MAC whirl lipliner first to give me an outline and then the liquid lipstick just glided on so easily! It dried quickly but it did feel a bit sticky in the corners of my lips but this soon went and the lipstick was completely matte. 8 hours later the lipstick is still in place, it has slightly come away on the inside of my lips but that will happen with any lipsticks due to eating and drinking throughout the day. In terms of dryness all matte lipsticks and liquid lipsticks will be drying but I always apply a lipbalm or lip conditioner (the MAC lip conditioner is AMAZING) before I do my makeup to give it time to soak in before I apply any lip product. So because I did this the liquid lipstick doesn't feel too uncomfortable or dry and there's no crumbling either.

I am impressed by these liquid lipsticks and will definitely be purchasing some more shades in the near future! Have you tried these liquid lipsticks? Or what are your favourite liquid lipsticks? Let me know in the comments! See you soon!

    Morphe 35O Palette

If there's one thing that I love it's warm brown eyeshadows! There's just something that I love about a nice rich orange toned transition colour and deep chocolate browns paired together so when this palette was released back in autumn I had to have it (and Jaclyn Hill uses it and she is the queen of a warm toned eyeshadows). But let me just say this, it was not easy to get a hold of! It was sold out everywhere and everytime it came back in stock it sold out so quickly and I just wasn't fast enough to get one. So when my friend tagged me in an instagram post saying that it was back in stock on the Morphe website let me tell you I have NEVER ordered an item so fast in my entire life (makeup makes us crazy). BUT I GOT ONE! And it was so worth the 2 minute thumb workout.

Delivery was so fast considering I'd ordered it from America and it came within about a week or so and I was so giddy when it came, it felt like christmas in one delivery. The palette consists of 35 buttery eyeshadows, containing both matte and shimmery eyeshadows. There are cream colours, oranges, warm browns, medium browns, champagne colours and deep browns as well. If you love warm browns then you need this palette! The shadows are incredibly pigmented however there is a fair amount of fall out but who cares we all know that with pigment comes fall out. Whenever I know I'll be doing a warm brown eyeshadow look I just grab this palette and that's all I need!

Let me know if you have this palette or any of the other Morphe palettes and what you think to them in the comments below! See you soon!

    Peaches and Cream Loose Pigments

Good afternoon! As you know I'm currently studying Media Makeup which means that I'm constantly talking about makeup and always keeping my eyes peeled for new makeup brands and good products to try out. I discovered Peaches and Cream a while ago on instagram (peachesmakeup), they're actually a salon in Liverpool in the UK as well as selling their own brand of makeup.

In December I was lucky enough to go on a trip with the girls on my course to the Clothes Show in Birmingham which was such a good day out and definitely something I'd love to do again next year, if anyone has heard of it and is thinking about going definitely go because it's such a good day! I knew that there was going to be a NYX makeup stand there so I definitely made a beeline for that stand first, so after picking up the NYX products I wanted we had a wander round all the other stands which were beauty related, clothes, teeth whitening etc. and we actually came across the Peaches and Cream stand and the pigments were definitely what first caught my eye as they were so beautiful.

After purchasing 3 of the pigments I decided that this chance should not be wasted - I needed more! The ladies who worked on the stand were so helpful and friendly and showed how each pigment worked with their primer and they were all stunning! It was so difficult deciding which ones I should take home but if you know me, you know eyeshadow is my ultimate true love, so I ended up with seven!

They're super affordable but goodness me they are beautiful colours! The only downside to them is that they do tend to transfer a little bit into the crease when placed on the lids. If you follow me on instagram (rebeccacapel) you'll have seen how I used the disco pigment on my lids with a burgundy smokey eye as a Christmas inspired makeup look (click here for photo). Once I've blended all my eyeshadow I spray a small amount of MAC Fix+ on a brush and dip it in the pigment, tap off the excess into the lid (aint nobody wasting these pots of heaven) and then pack it onto the lid.

So, the colours that I purchased going from left to right are Pearl, Kitten, Peached, Foxy, Secret, Famous and Disco. I loved wearing the shades disco and famous around Christmas and New Years Eve they were the perfect party pigments. I also have a great love for the peached pigment I think this is my favourite out of all the pigments I purchased, it goes with most eyeshadow looks and I think it is a unique colour which usually I wouldn't normally gravitate towards but now I can't stop using it!

    Makeup Geek Eyeshadows

Hello loves! Apologies for the few months of absence, Christmas was extremely busy and spare time was none existent! Work and college took over but now that the new year is here I'm back and feeling better than ever. Over the time that I've had away from my blog I've discovered many different brands for makeup and brushes and all that good stuff! However, I think my favourite brand over the past couple of months is definitely Makeup Geek. I first heard about these eyeshadows through youtubers and when I saw that Beauty Bay started selling the single eyeshadows online I knew it was a sign that I had to get my hands on them!

So I first purchased about 6 eyeshadow pans to begin with and then I became OBSESSED and I couldn't stop buying them. They're so pigmented and creamy and the best part is that they're super affordable! I've been storing them in my Z Palette which is so easy because the Makeup Geek eyeshadows are already magnetic so you can just pop them right in. Not all the eyeshadows in the picture above are Makeup Geek but the majority are! (I can't wait to fill a full palette!). My favourite shades are currently Peach Smoothie, Bitten, Brown Sugar and Havoc.

I find myself reaching for these eyeshadows every single day (my other eyeshadows are definitely feeling slightly unloved) I'm extremely glad I found this brand and I will 100 percent be purchasing more in the near future.

Let me know what your favourite new discoveries have been these past few months and why you love them! See you soon!

    September Favourites

How is it the end of September already?! Not that I'm complaining because if you know me well enough you'll know how much I love autumn and winter! I can't wait for coats, cosy nights in, big jumpers and for Costa to bring out their christmas hot chocolate flavours! (Praying for black forest hot chocolate again this year). But anyway, since we are coming towards the end of the month it's time for my September favourites so these are the products which I have been loving this month!

    1. Benefit Hoola Bronzer is my first favourite of the month. I do love my NARS bronzer but having recently done work on contouring and highlighting on my makeup course I've fell back in love with this matte bronzer. I love using bronzers during these colder months to warm up the skin and I also like to use a stronger contour as well at this time of year. This bronzer works well for so many skin tones and can be used as a contour shade because it is matte and not too warm toned!

    2. MAC Embark eyeshadow is my second favourite of the month, this eyeshadow came in my makeup kit and I also have a smaller sized one in my MAC burgundy times nine palette. I've been using this eyeshadow most days for the past 2 weeks, I blend my bronzer into my crease and then pack the Embark eyeshadow on my lid and then blend it into the crease colour. This is slowly becoming my go-to eyeshadow look and if you read my last blog post I predicted I would become hooked on this eyeshadow (makeup psychic).

    3. MAC Rebel Lipstick. Everyone knew this was coming! This time of year is perfect for pulling out the plum lipstick and I wore this lipstick for the first time in months this week and oh wow I forgot how much I loved it! The colour stays all day although I do have to reapply after eating but the colour is absolutely amazing and I can't wait to wear this more throughout the next few months! If you've never worn a dark lipstick before but want to try one this season then I would definitely recommend this one. Now that I'm used to wearing Rebel I definitely want to go darker with my lipstick so let me know if you have any favourites!

    4. My last but not least favourite of the month is MAC 188 Duo Fibre Brush. What a fabulous brush! It is perfect for applying highlighter to the tops of the cheekbones, because it's a duo fibre brush it doesnt pick up too much product so you can control the level of highlight which you want and the size of the brush fits perfectly on the tops of the cheekbones to control where you want to apply your highlighter.

That wraps up my favourites for this month and I've definitely got some new products lined up to try during October so keep your eyes peeled for reviews and who knows maybe some will creep up in next months favourites! Let me know what you have been loving this month in the comments! See you soon!
