    Christmas Beauty Essentials

Christmas Day is next week! My favourite time of year for sure! These past 5 weeks have been madness for me, two days at college and working five days a week for the past month has absolutely drained me but hard work always pays off and I'm looking forward to next week for some time off with my loves ones and to drink all the wine and eat all the pigs in blankets.

We had Christmas dinner at college on Tuesday and it got me so inspired to do a Christmas makeup look (I was actually an hour late, but glitter eyeliner takes time!) you can see the makeup look I did on my instagram by clicking here. So I thought it would be great to share with you what my favourite beauty products are this Christmas!

This is probably not a shock that this product is featured. This is hands down (pardon the pun) my favourite hand cream EVER! It doesn't leave that weird film over your hands it just soaks up straight away and the smell is to die for! My hands are so dry recently from a combination of constantly sanitising my hands at work and the cold weather. This has been my absolute saviour!

This is actually a new product in my skincare routine. I tried it on the back of my hand at work as our counter is next to the Decleor counter so I'm always having a nosey! It is BEAUTIFUL! It's an overnight mask that's a cream but as you rub it into your skin, it turns into an oil. A little goes a long way with this product and I love sleeping with this on when my skin has been feeling dry recently.

LASHES, LASHES, LASHES. I can't express my love for lashes enough. I wear them near enough everyday and I just feel like they complete my whole makeup look and make me feel so glam even if I'm not wearing a lot of makeup. I've been loving the Doll Lashes in the style Elle recently. Doll Lashes are mink lashes and they're only £10 a pair?! Bargain for mink lashes if you ask me!

Every man and his dog has this eyeshadow including me. I've actually been using this as a highlighter and it's been making my cheekbones outshine any stars at the top of your christmas trees! It is gorgeous! I love going to town on highlighter especially at Christmas time! The more sparkle, the better!

I needed a new fan brush desperately so when all Laura Mercier employees were given a set of brushes to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Laura Mercier Cosmetics I was praying that this brush was in it because it is absolutely amazing! The fan brush I've been using was a cheap one and I thought a fan brush was a fan brush but this one just picks up so much more product and blends my highlighter seamlessly. You can buy these individually from your nearest counter or online, they're worth the investment!

It's not Christmas without a little sparkle! I love using glitter on my eye looks especially at this time of year. Certifeye glitters are absolutely amazing! They have such a wide range of colours and they're super cheap too! I used this glitter in a look I did this week. Click here to see it on my Instagram. Also featured is a Helen-E Cosmetics glitter which is red! I picked this up at the Clothes Show last week and I'm dying to try it out! It looks so christmassy!

What a classic product. I'm not really a blush kind of person, I do prefer a more bronzed look but I really like this one! It's been adding colour back into my cheeks that you would normally get from being outside in the cold. But when you're inside most of the day working, colour in your cheeks comes from a pan.

Those are my Christmas beauty essentials! What are your favourite products at this time of year? Is anyone else the same as me working away and busy Christmas shopping? Or if you don't celebrate Christmas, what are you up to lately? I'm hoping to squeeze in one more post next week before the big day! See you soon!

Look Fantastic November Sparkle Beauty Box

"Dream big, sparkle more, shine bright" what a lovely message to see when you open a beauty box. I've seen so many different types of beauty boxes and I've never really been drawn to any of them. A few weeks ago I didn't even know that Look Fantastic existed until I saw their advert for the Beauty Calendar and that's when I discovered these boxes.

I liked how much attention they put into each box, theres a theme and the products inside go with the theme of the box. With each box you also get an Elle magazine which I think is such a nice gesture, for me I love sitting down with a magazine and a cup of tea but the problem is actually going out and getting one. So having a magazine each month is a nice touch - perfect for winter!

It also comes with a booklet with information about each product you receive and how to use it which is so helpful!

So after much research and a little sneak peak into the previous boxes this year and seeing what amazing brands they had in the boxes I took a look at the subscriptions they offered.

After a few glasses of pinot I'd fully convinced myself that I need a gift from me to me at the beginning of each month so I decided to go with the 12 month subscription which is £11.25 each month which is amazing considering how many products you get and the quality. Here's what's in this months box!

This product is one that I keep seeing everywhere so I'm so excited to try this! (We all know how much I love my hair oils!) It's described as lightweight hair treatment infused with avocado and grape seed oil to nourish the hair and provide antioxidant protection against environmental aggressors. This product will be perfect for the colder months to bring shine back into our hair and protect it against this weather!

This is a brand that I've never heard of before so I'll definitely be giving this a go. It's packed with so many natural ingredients which are great for the skin such as Rose Essential Oil, Evening Primrose Oil, Peptides and Blackcurrant Seed Oil. This balm is described as a 'winter saviour' that is supposed to reduce redness and soothe irritation as well as leaving skin balanced and hydrated.

I've never tried these brushes before but I've always looked at them and thought that they look like good quality brushes and I was right this is a good quality brush, the bristles feel so fluffy! I don't get on with angled blending brushes but I'm sure I'll find a use for this. These brushes are allergy free and environmentally friendly!

Model Co Blush Cheek Powder in Peach Bellini
I've never tried Model Co products until today so I was excited to try this today, and I love it! I tend to steer clear from blushers I only really like peach/apricot tones so the fact that this was a peachy blush made me so happy. It's got a bit of shimmer to it but barely noticeable on the skin, the product picks up so well it's very pigmented so you don't need a lot!

This is another interesting product because it's a spray gel, at first I was like hold on what does that mean. So I checked the booklet and its for volume and lift in your hair JUST WHAT I NEED. Having long thick hair means that my hair is very heavy and any curls or volume I put in can drop within an hour. I'm curious to see how this hold my hair in place! This product uses Cushion Particle Technology to lift hair from the roots.

Last but not least is this little guy. To be honest i've never heard of anything as a foot and leg spray but now that I've read what it's for it seems like something I need in my life. This product is said to be ideal for aching limbs and the extracts in it alleviate water tension and revitalise tired legs. For anyone who works in retail (aka me) I feel like this would be a good product. This will also come in handy at 3am when I've been in heels for hours when I go out over christmas and my feet can't take another step. I'm so curious to see how this works for me!

Those are the products that are in November's Look Fantastic Sparkle Beauty Box! I can't wait to see what's in Decembers! I'm so happy with this and I can't wait to get started using all my products! Are you subscribed to any beauty boxes? Let me know in the comments! See you soon!

    How I Store My Makeup

Hello lovelies! Today's post is gonna be a long one so I'll try and not ramble on too much in this intro but if you haven't already guessed by the title this is a post on how I store my makeup! I thought this would be a great post to do because when I first started getting into makeup and I had too much makeup for one makeup bag, I had no idea how I would store it! It was only through watching videos on other peoples storage and seeing photos on Instagram that made me get a clue about what to do! So anyway grab yourself some food and a brew and I'll start rambling on!

I keep all my makeup and brushes on and in the Ikea Malm Dressing Table. This is probably no surprise because this desk is so popular in the beauty world. But it's convenient! And that's the T! The draw is shallow so it's perfect for storing makeup. I also have the Ikea Malm Chest of Two Drawers underneath my desk on the right hand side to store all my skincare and lashes.

On the right side of desk I keep my large palettes in a stack. My smaller palettes slot down the left side of the drawer whereas these are too big so they live here.

I also keep all my perfumes on my desk too next to some artificial roses from my boyfriend back on Valentine's Day. I love having artificial flowers because they never die because I am terrible at looking after plants and flowers I don't need that responsibility.

Next I keep a rack of all my MAC lipsticks, I keep them in this acrylic organiser from Amazon.

I then have a No7 illuminating mirror (this is the super old one!) in the centre of my desk. I only really use this when I'm plucking my brows, when I do my makeup I face the window and hold a mirror in my face I find that it's much better to do makeup in natural lighting.

I then have both my brush pots with all my dirty (sorry) brushes in them. These are just plain acrylic 10cmx10cm pots from amazon. I like them because you can fit a lot of brushes in them!

I then keep another one of the lipstick racks from amazon on top of a mirrored drawer containing all my NYX lip products, liquid lipsticks, glosses etc. In the mirrored drawer (I'm sorry I don't know where this is from I've had it years but I'm sure there will be similar ones!) I keep things like eyelash curlers, tweezers and lash trimming scissors.

So in my Malm Desk drawer is where I keep all my makeup products. And to store them I keep them in these acrylic organisers from a brand called Interdesign on Amazon. These are amazing quality and they fit perfectly in the drawer. I have three types of these trays.

The first is shown above, which can be found here. This one had three compartments, a large square, a long compartment and a smaller compartment. I have three of these types of containers. The square compartment is great for bulky products such as foundations, primers and powders.

I then have three of these smaller organisers which can be found here. I keep my bronzers, concealers and pigments in these.

Last but not least I have just one of these organisers which can be found here. These are long containers so theyre perfect for long products such as mascaras and eyeliners.

Let me know how you store your makeup products! And leave me a link to your posts below! I love to see how other people store their makeup! If you read all of this post I take my hat off to you as it's a long one, so thank you! See you soon!

    LancĂ´me Haul + Free Gift!

Before recently I had never tried any LancĂ´me makeup other than a lipstick. But when I heard about their amazing gift with purchase at work I knew this was the right time to pick up some products.

When you buy two products you get a free gift containing a full sized cleanser, full sized makeup remover, mini moisturiser and mini HypnĂ´se mascara. And when you buy three products you got all the above and a full sized primer too!

I purchased a HypnĂ´se mascara, the new GrandiĂ´se eyeliner and the LancĂ´me   blending brush. And I got five things free including three full sized products - if you ask me that's pretty amazing!

Obviously I was dead excited to try out all my new goodies and I've made my opinions on them for sure! So here's what I think!

I've heard good things about this mascara and it is definitely one of LancĂ´me's most popular products which is why it was one of my three choices. I was blown away by this mascara when I used it the day after I purchased it, you can layer this so much and it doesn't clump! I love it on my lower lashes it makes them look super long and makes my eyes look more awake!

This is a new product from LancĂ´me which I absolutely love! The handle bends so that you can really get into the nooks and crannies of your eyes without any smudging! It dried matte and I think it's super easy to use! It's not quite beat my Maybelline Gel Liner and MAC 210 brush combination but I love this product nonetheless.

We all love a blending brush! Blending brushes are the backbone of good eyeshadow looks - fact. I really wanted to try this as I love new brushes and this one reminded me of my MAC 224 but I think it's slightly smaller. I love using this brush, it is super soft and I like using it just after my MAC 224 to add more dimension and depth to any eyeshadow look!

This is one of the full sized products I received free with my purchase and I'm so glad I did. I've been using this to remove my eye makeup in the evening and it is truly amazing! I pop a small amount on a cotton pad, hold it on my eye for about 15 seconds and then gently sweep away the makeup and this product makes this process effortless. Because my makeup has a lot of staying power I was surprised how quickly this removed it! I will definitely be repurchasing this when I run out.

This was another one of the full sized free gifts but sadly I don't like it. My only reason is that I personally don't like those cleansers which make your skin feel squeeky after washing. It gives my skin a sort of rubbery feel? And I personally don't like that. This is the only thing I don't like about the product!

This was a free minature which came in the gift and HELLO?! Smoothing? Glow boosting?! Give it to me! I love products that make my skin look plump and radiant and this just does it for me! It's a liquid not a cream so it's not heavy on the skin but I've used this minature 3 nights in a row now (using my La Roche-Posay moisturiser in the morning, see my skincare post for details!) and I wake up and my skin is glowing I absolutely love this product this is another which I will be purchasing in the near future!

I also received a HypnĂ´se minature so you can see above for my thoughts on that!

Has anyone else took advantage of the LancĂ´me gift at Boots? What are your favourite LancĂ´me products? Let me know in the comments below! See you soon!

    Drugstore Haul

At heart, I'm a high-end gal! Luxurious packaging and product speaks volumes to me, but that doesn't mean I don't love a bargain (We all know how much I love the Maybelline Eraser Eye concealer!). Usually I don't get excited by drugstore products but these few intrigued me, so I'll go ahead and tell you what I picked up.

I've heard so many good things about the American version of this foundation, so I thought I'd give the UK one a try. I picked up the shade 220 as I have a medium skintone. I've worn this foundation once and I loved the colour of it, it was near enough the exact same shade as my NARS foundation which I wear everyday. I wore this for a full day at work and it lasted pretty well however, the next day I had a breakout. I'm unsure whether it was this foundation or not but I'm willing to give it another chance before I make any decisions!

Again, this is a very loved product and everyone who tries it says it's the best gel liner. I've been using this NONE STOP. I love it. I just love it. It just glides on, it's super black and it doesn't transfer. I have a feeling this is going to be a statement in my makeup collection.

This is so popular and I'm very late jumping on this bandwagon but I actually like this mascara! I prefer plastic wands to the ones with bristles so this ticks that box. I find that I do have to wipe off a lot of product from the brush before applying it, but I'll keep using it and see how it measures up.

This caught my eye as it's a matte cream eyeshadow which I thought might work well as an eyeshadow base. I've tried it once and it wasn't quite as opaque as a concealer but it did the job and didn't crease after I set it.

Any nude lipstick is welcome into my collection and will be loved unconditionally! I will adopt you all! I swatched this colour and I was like yes girl and it went straight in my basket. I haven't worn it yet but I'll trial it out and see how I get on.

(Swatches from left to right) Rimmel London Lasting Finish by Kate Moss - 56 Boho Nude, 55 My Nude, Maybelline Colorsensational Matte Lipstick in Nude Embrace.

I picked up two of the new Rimmel lipsticks in 56 Boho Nude and 55 My Nude. The packaging is super pretty because it's rose gold but doesn't feel too luxurious. The first shade which stuck out to me was Boho Nude, I love warm medium brown nudes. I picked up My Nude as well as I thought this was also a pretty nude. I wore Boho Nude for a day and I did have to reapply a few times throughout the day but hey-ho that doesn't bother me! I don't like the initial smell of these but the smell wears off after a while anyway.

That's it for my drugstore haul. Let me know if you have any of these products in your collection and what you think of them! See you soon!

    Mini Duty Free Haul

Gooood morning lovelies! In the early hours of tuesday morning me and my boyfriend landed back in the UK after a beautiful holiday in Mallorca. Flying in the middle of the night was so tiring especially as I was feeling under the weather so OF COURSE I needed a pick me up to make me feel better.

The first item I picked up was the MAC Prolongwear Lip Pencil in Oh Honey. I've never heard much about this shade, in fact I don't think I've ever heard of it but i was drawn to the colour on the end of the pencil and when I swatched it I was literally like "Oh Honey!" And that went straight in my basket!

The next item I picked up was MAC Mineralise Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle. I've always favoured champagne, golden highlighters so this has never really appealed to me. But recently I've been using the Peaches and Cream loose pigments in Pearl and Kitten as highlighters which are both pink pearlescent shades and I love them! So I can't wait to use this and see how I get on.

Ahhh last but not least, Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel. As soon as I saw the Chanel counter across the shop all I thought was "where is it?" A lot of people have this and a lot of people love it, which is why I can't wait to get a duofibre brush dunked right in there. It also smells DIVINE.

That's all for my Mini Duty Free Haul, let me know if you have any of these products and what you think of them in the comments below! See you soon!

    Holiday Makeup Kit

Hola! Whilst you're reading this I will be more than likely getting ready to get on the plane, but thank goodness for scheduled posting! It's so refreshing knowing I planned my Holiday series earlier so that I can enjoy a week away without any worries, just pure relaxation. Anyway! Here's post number 2 in the holiday series I have going on and this is... my Holiday Makeup Kit!

To be honest, I wear a lot of makeup. Makeup is my thing and I always pack more than I need because how I do my makeup depends on my mood, I'll never know what I want to do with my makeup until I actually sit down and do it. You never know what inspiration might crop up so it's better to be prepared! Hence why I take a hell of a lot of makeup with me whenever I go away.

To keep all my makeup safe and sound whilst I travel, I keep it all in this Off Dutee makeup bag! and yes, everything does fit in it! Even my palettes, I've tried it. So if like me, you can't go anywhere without your babies then I'd definitely recommend this makeup bag! So let's crack on with what I actually take with me!

    Face.

I'm taking away 2 primers; MAC Strobe Cream and MAC Prep+Prime Skin Base Visage. I use Prep+Prime Skin on a day to day basis but if I want an extra glow underneath my foundation I use MAC Strobe Cream.

I'm only taking one foundation and that is my NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation in the shade Stromboli. This is my favourite foundation ever. It's thin in consistency, it's full coverage, it glides across my skin and feels so so comfortable. Plus it doesn't contain any SPF so you won't be getting any flash back on your holiday pics! - winner.

I need 3 concealers, MAC Studio Conceal and Correct Palette in Medium, Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer and MAC Prolongwear Concealer in NW15. I use the MAC concealer palette purely for the salmon pink shade in the bottom right corner as I apply this under my eyes to brighten them and correct any dark areas before applying foundation. I use the Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer under my eyes as we all know this is my favourite under eye concealer and finally I use the MAC Prolonger concealer as an eyeshadow primer as it keeps my eyeshadow staying put all day!

I couldn't go anywhere without my Laura Mercier Loose Translucent Setting Powder! Such a staple product for me. Click here for a full post on my under eyes! And of course I'll be taking MAC Mineralise Skinfinish Natural in Medium Dark to set the rest of my face.

There's only one bronzer I need in my life and that's MAC Mineralise Skinfinish Natural in Give Me Sun. It's a beautiful warm bronzer for my skintone and it's been my favourite ever since I got it.

Do I really need to take 4 highlighters? Of course! I'm taking Benefit Watt's Up highlighter for the daytime. I don't wear a lot of makeup on the beach other than SPF and maybe some foundation at the start of the week when I'm not-so bronzed goddess. However, I thought this highlighter would look good on the cheeks during the day and also to add to my dĂ©colletage and just on my shoulders to add a bit of glow to my skin on the beach.

I use MAC Global Glow on the areas where I have applied bronzer and I also apply this on my legs and arms on a nighttime when I go out to add EVEN MORE glow to my body.

Then obviously left over are my two favourite highlighters, Laura Geller Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator in Gilded Honey and Mary-Lou Manizer from theBalm.

    Eyes.

I'll be taking away with me my Benefit Browzings in Medium. If you read my June Favourites post you'll know why I much prefer this to my Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow now (However, I'm taking it with me incase I need a product with a bit of staying power during the day).

I'll take three mascaras, Benefit Rollerlash which is my favourite mascara and also a miniature of the YSL Faux Cils mascara (I've been trying this out recently and I love it!). Alongside these two is the Benefit They're Real mascara in Beyond Blue, I love this mascara for times when I feel a bit creative and this product is a great way to add a pop of colour to your makeup! For a look I did using this mascara click here.

Of course I'll be needing lash glue, my favourite is the DUO Eyelash Adhesive which has the dark tone.

2 single Kiko Wet and Dry High Pigment Eyeshadows in 18 and 36. I purchased these last week and I wanted to take them away with me so I can play around with them a bit more. For swatches on both of these shadows, here's a swatch picture I posted on Instagram.

As far as Eyeliner pencils go I'm taking a white, black, brown and nude. The black and brown ones are MAC and in the shades Coffee and Feline. The nude eyeliner is Rimmel Scandaleyes and the white pencil is NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk.

I'm taking 2 gel/liquid eyeliners, Morphe Gel Liner in Slate and also the NYX Vivid Brights Liner in Vivid Halo. Obviously I need a black gel liner with me and I love this yellow liner for again creative purposes (the creative juices don't stop flowing when you enter a different country people!) to see a look I created using this liner click here

Last but not least for the eyes is my Peaches Makeup loose pigments in Kitten and Pearl. As I mentioned in my June Favourites, I use these for highlighters.

    Lips.

The further down I get in this post the more I feel like it's all a bit excessive but trust me when I say I've shrunken this down three times already and this was actually the minimum amount! haha.

I'm taking with me my 6 favourite MAC lipsticks in Myth, Honeylove, Modesty, Shy Girl, Relentlessly Red and Ruby Woo.

I'm also taking this bright orange lipstick from No7 this is the Stay Perfect lipstick in the shade Gay Geranium

I'll only be taking 4 lip pencils a brown nude, a pink nude, an orange and a red. MAC prolongwear lip pencil in What a Blast!, MAC Stripdown liner, MAC Cherry liner and NYX Nude Pink lip liner.

I couldn't bear to be without my NYX holy grail lip products which are NYX soft matte lip creams in London and Abu Dhabi, NYX Butter Gloss in Fortune Cookie and NYX Intense Butter Gloss in Peanut Brittle

To stop my lips drying out I'm taking my trusty MAC Lip Conditioner (smells like mini eggs, are you sold yet?) and also Benefit Cha Cha Balm - perfect for the daytime and looks beautiful with tanned skin!

Last but not least is my two favourite glosses Dior Addict Collagen Activ and MAC Lipglass in Oyster Girl

    Palettes.

I couldn't just take one palette, but I think I've done pretty well in taking my Morphe 35O and I've also managed to fit my favourites from MAC and Makeup Geek into my Z palette too. I've popped my MAC Melba blush into my Z palette, as we all know I'm not a blush person but I love this blusher so much so popping it in my Z palette was handy!

PHEWF! That finally concludes my Holiday Makeup Kit, yeah it's a bit excessive but like I said in the beginning I like to be prepared and you never know when inspiration might hit you like a crashing wave. Let me know what you staple products are for taking on holiday with you in the comments below! See you soon.

    June Favourites

This month's favourites is juicy! I've tried so many new products this month so there's some new goodies that I've been loving.

My first favourite of the month is the Peaches Makeup loose pigments in Pearl and Kitten. For swatches and full review click here. I've actually been using both of these not on my eyes, but as highlighters! Kitten is more pink than Pearl but they look beautiful on the skin especially when caught in the sunlight!

Next up is Laura Geller Baked Gelato Swirl in Gilded Honey. Ahhh..another highlighter! I have been using this everyday non-stop ever since it was delivered, hence why it's not looking as fresh as it did in my Feel Unique Haul post! It is a beautiful golden highlight however, I do feel like I need to do a few layers before I get my desired beam of light reflecting off my cheeks. But then again, maybe that's just me being excessive with my highlight again!

This month something changed within me. Brace yourselves because about 2 weeks ago, I fell out of love with my Dipbrow Pomade. For some reason, my dark, defined brows just weren't working for me anymore. I wanted fluffy brows where my actual brow hairs were more visible, ya feel me? So I've switched back to Benefit Browzings, this is the old packaging so this is the shade medium but I believe for the new packaging the old medium is equivalent to shade number 4. I've been using my Anastasia 12 brush to define underneath my brow and going in with less product at the top (here's a picture from my instagram to show you how they've been looking).

Earlier this week I picked up a NYX Vivid Brights liner in the shade Vivid Halo from my nearest NYX counter. And it's just gone straight into my June Favourites because I am so impressed, everything from the brush to the pigment was STUNNING and now I am desperate for more colours. To see a look I did with this product, click here

Another NYX product I've been obsessed with is the Butter Gloss in the shade Fortune Cookie. I got this towards the beginning of the month in my feel unique haul and I've been wearing it over the top of MAC Shy Girl lipstick for a peachy lip colour and that's been my go to! I love the formula of the butter glosses too, as I've mentioned before they are not sticky which is what I love.

My last but not least favourite of the month is the Tony Moly I'm Real sheet masks. I'll not go into too much detail about these as I'm doing a full review on all the 11 different kinds soon so keep your eyes peeled for that! But all you need to know is that I have definitely fell in love with them.

Thank you for reading my June Favourites, let me know what your favourites are this month in the comments below! See you soon.

First Impressions: Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado

Ahhh..this eye cream! Every man and his dog seems to have this, so how could I not snap it up? Especially because I was in need of a new eye cream (and I'm a sucker for anything that has avocado in it)

So I headed over to the Kiehl's website and ordered the 14g size first before I splurge and get the big one! What made this more enjoyable is that Kiehl's had a 20% off student discount code for a limited time! I also got to pick 3 free samples with my order which was so nice, we all love samples!

I'd heard that this eye cream was thick but I thought to myself it's probably an exaggeration but hell no! You have to be careful when you apply this because of it's consistency because you don't want to pull on the skin around your eyes and create wrinkles (not today satan!). But a little bit of this product goes a long way so i tend to just pat it in with my ring finger until it's all soaked in.

This product is super moisturising and would definitely be a good product for those with dry skin because of it's consistency and moisturising ingredients such as avocado. I've been using this product every night and I do love it it's a lovely product and I wake up and my undereyes are hydrated and ready for some makeup!

Let me know if you've tried this product, or any other Kiehl's products and what you think about them! See you soon!

    Summer Sunset Eyes

Back again with another eye tutorial! I love this combination of orange and gold on the eyes especially for summer now that the weather is starting to pick up here in the UK.

This complete look is using only eyeshadows from the Morphe 35O palette. I love this palette so much and I've been using it so much recently it ended up in my May Favourites post.

To start off, I applied concealer all over my eyelids from my lashline to underneath my brow and then set this with the eyeshadow marked number 1 in the picture above. Using this light cream shade allowed me to start off my eyeshadow with a blank canvas.

Next I used a MAC 224 brush and the eyeshadow marked number 2 in the palette and started in the middle of my crease and used backwards and forwards motions to blend this transition shade, and when there was less product on the brush I blended this up just above my crease onto my brow bone. When doing a spotlight eye such as this one it is important not to blend your eyeshadow too far out on your outer corner as we are trying to keep this eye look rounded and not winged.

Next up I used a MAC 217 brush and the shadow marked number 3 and blended this directly into the crease keeping it just below the transition shade. I then used the same brush to pack this shade onto the inner and outer corners of my eyes. This shadow is what really makes this eye look have that bright orange look.

Taking a Morphe M521 brush and the shadow marked number 4 I lightly blended this into the inner and outer corners of my lid, this was purely to give the look more dimension but I didn't use too much as I wanted the focus to be more on the orange.

I then used the burnt gold eyeshadow marked number 5 in the palette and packed this onto the centre of the lid using a MAC 242 brush and blended the edges out with the MAC 217 we used earlier.

Using a Morphe E19 brush I used the orange shade (number 3) and blended this on the lower lash line. Popped on a thin line of Morphe gel liner in Slate, some mascara and applied some Ardell demi wispie lashes. Demi wispie lashes are great for when you want your eyeshadow to show through your lashes but still want to have defined lashes.

Hope you enjoyed this, let me know what your favourite eyeshadow looks are this summer! See you soon!

    Get Unready With Me

As much as I love getting glam, I'm a comfort girl at heart. For me one of the best feelings in the world is taking your lashes off, taking your shoes off and relaxing.

On a typical weekday if I've been at college I usually get home between 4pm and 5pm and if I know I have no plans for the rest of the day then this is when I take my makeup off. I always take my makeup off the earliest I can in a day as I like to give my skin time to breathe. To see what products I use to take my makeup off, take a look at my Skincare Routine (link here).

Next step in my winding down process is loungewear. Comfies, loungewear, scruffs, cosy clothes whatever you call them they are bomb! My favourite loungewear are tracksuits especially the Roberta ones from Miss Pap (I have the grey and the khaki styles but I am slightly obsessed so I doubt the collection stops there for me!), also Victoria's Secret tracksuits are sooo comfy too! There's something about cosy clothes that make me feel so relaxed and honestly I just live in them!

Once I've changed into some comfy clothes, stripped off my lashes, taken my face off and shoved my hair into an incredibly failed messy bun or clipped the front of my hair back, this is when I really start to relax. I'll grab a cup of tea or some green tea (always the Twinings one with lemon!) and maybe some food and I'll flick through Bloglovin, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest to catch up on what I've missed out on during the day. In the evening when I'm relaxed is when I usually reply to comments and I'll always be watching Coranation Street or Emmerdale (if not, it's Netflix!).

Downtime is important and it's important to unwind and relax and let ourselves destress after a long day. I always find that if I come home and leave my makeup on as late as possible and don't properly relax before I sleep then I feel like I don't sleep as well if I would when I do go through a routine!

Hope you enjoyed reading this post, something a little different from the usual makeup post! Let me know how you like to unwind in the comments below! See you soon!

    May Favourites

It's almost the end of the month which means it's obviously a monthly favourites post. It feels like yesterday since my April favourites and time is flying which means it's closer to my holiday, so I'm not complaining!

My first favourite is the Clarins Hydraquench Cream, if you read my skincare routine post (click here if you haven't!) then you'll know how much I love this. I've tried many different moisturisers from more affordable brands to higher end brands too but this one is definitely my all time favourite. It smells beautiful, it sinks right into my skin and I wake up with the softest skin - it's basically an ice cold pint of water for my thirsty skin! This is my second batch of using this moisturiser and using it the second time now made me realise how much I liked it the first time.

Next up is the Morphe 35O palette. I've had this palette since around November last year so I've had it a long time and I do love it but I just kept forgetting to reach for it as I was using other brands such as Makeup Geek. However, towards the beginning of this month I thought to myself I'm going to do an eyeshadow look using only the 35O palette and now I can't stop! I find myself reaching for this everyday it has everything you need from a base shadow, transition colours, warm tones (even a few cool tones), shimmers and inner corner highlight colours - the possibilities are endless!

Last but not least in this months favourites is the Morphe M521 brush. If you follow me on instagram (rebeccacapel) you will have seen a recent splurge of spotlight/halo eyeshadow looks. I personally think that a halo/spotlight eyeshadow look is really flattering and something a little different from your average smokey eye. This brush works miracles for me for this particular type of eyeshadow look as the brush is pinched at the base so although it is a blending brush its flatter than, for example, a MAC 217 which means that it's perfect for packing on colour seemlessly on the inner and outer corners of the eye for that spotlight eyeshadow look. What's best is this brush was so cheap compared to other brands and there was no compromise on quality, I purchased mine on BeautyBay.com i'll leave a link just here.

That's all for my May favourites! Let me know what your favourites were in the comments or let me know how you feel about any of the products I have mentioned today in this post! See you soon!

    Everyday Eyes

Back again with a little eye tutorial! This one is for one of my everyday eye looks. This is my personal eyeshadow look for when I can't decide what I want to do, when i'm not feeling very inspired or when I just want something simple. I understand that this may not be an everyday eye look for some but it works for me!

After priming my eyelids using a concealer and setting with a cream eyeshadow I use Makeup Geek eyeshadow in the shade Creme Brulee as my transition colour. Using a MAC 224 brush I use backwards and forward motions from the outer corner to the inner corner of the eye and gradually move it up into the upper crease when there is less product on the brush.

Next I used Makeup Geek eyeshadow in Frappe with a MAC 217 brush to sculpt out my crease using the same backwards and forwards motions. To do this I keep my eye open and looking down into the mirror so I can see where I am focusing the eyeshadow so I dont go too far either way. I turn the brush vertically to make sure the eyeshadow blends seemlessly rather than focusing too much into the crease. I then go back in with the MAC 224 brush and blend the two shadows together further.

I repeat the last step using the Makeup Geek eyeshadow in Cocoa Bear. By using 2 or 3 colours in the crease area it gives the illusion of a deeper socket. After this step I use the same 217 brush and pack the Cocoa Bear eyeshadow all over the lid between the crease and the lashline.

I then use a Morphe E23 brush and the Makeup Geek Frappe eyeshadow and blended this on the lower lash line, this brush is small enough for the lower lashline but fluffy enough to blend the eyeshadow seemlessly.

I used a MAC 210 brush and Morphe gel liner in the shade Slate to line my lashline before applying mascara (Benefit Rollerlash of course!) and then apply my favourite false lashes which are Eylure lashes in the style 157.

To put the icing on the cake I pop Mary-Lou Manizer highlighter from theBalm on the inner corner of the eyes using a pencil brush. This is my favourite product for an inner corner highlight as a little goes a long way and I do like that bright glow in the corner of my eye.

So that's my everyday eye look for when I've no idea what look I want to do. What are your favourite everyday looks? What are your favourite products to use? Let me know in the comments! See you soon!
