    Christmas Beauty Essentials

Christmas Day is next week! My favourite time of year for sure! These past 5 weeks have been madness for me, two days at college and working five days a week for the past month has absolutely drained me but hard work always pays off and I'm looking forward to next week for some time off with my loves ones and to drink all the wine and eat all the pigs in blankets.

We had Christmas dinner at college on Tuesday and it got me so inspired to do a Christmas makeup look (I was actually an hour late, but glitter eyeliner takes time!) you can see the makeup look I did on my instagram by clicking here. So I thought it would be great to share with you what my favourite beauty products are this Christmas!

This is probably not a shock that this product is featured. This is hands down (pardon the pun) my favourite hand cream EVER! It doesn't leave that weird film over your hands it just soaks up straight away and the smell is to die for! My hands are so dry recently from a combination of constantly sanitising my hands at work and the cold weather. This has been my absolute saviour!

This is actually a new product in my skincare routine. I tried it on the back of my hand at work as our counter is next to the Decleor counter so I'm always having a nosey! It is BEAUTIFUL! It's an overnight mask that's a cream but as you rub it into your skin, it turns into an oil. A little goes a long way with this product and I love sleeping with this on when my skin has been feeling dry recently.

LASHES, LASHES, LASHES. I can't express my love for lashes enough. I wear them near enough everyday and I just feel like they complete my whole makeup look and make me feel so glam even if I'm not wearing a lot of makeup. I've been loving the Doll Lashes in the style Elle recently. Doll Lashes are mink lashes and they're only £10 a pair?! Bargain for mink lashes if you ask me!

Every man and his dog has this eyeshadow including me. I've actually been using this as a highlighter and it's been making my cheekbones outshine any stars at the top of your christmas trees! It is gorgeous! I love going to town on highlighter especially at Christmas time! The more sparkle, the better!

I needed a new fan brush desperately so when all Laura Mercier employees were given a set of brushes to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Laura Mercier Cosmetics I was praying that this brush was in it because it is absolutely amazing! The fan brush I've been using was a cheap one and I thought a fan brush was a fan brush but this one just picks up so much more product and blends my highlighter seamlessly. You can buy these individually from your nearest counter or online, they're worth the investment!

It's not Christmas without a little sparkle! I love using glitter on my eye looks especially at this time of year. Certifeye glitters are absolutely amazing! They have such a wide range of colours and they're super cheap too! I used this glitter in a look I did this week. Click here to see it on my Instagram. Also featured is a Helen-E Cosmetics glitter which is red! I picked this up at the Clothes Show last week and I'm dying to try it out! It looks so christmassy!

What a classic product. I'm not really a blush kind of person, I do prefer a more bronzed look but I really like this one! It's been adding colour back into my cheeks that you would normally get from being outside in the cold. But when you're inside most of the day working, colour in your cheeks comes from a pan.

Those are my Christmas beauty essentials! What are your favourite products at this time of year? Is anyone else the same as me working away and busy Christmas shopping? Or if you don't celebrate Christmas, what are you up to lately? I'm hoping to squeeze in one more post next week before the big day! See you soon!

Look Fantastic November Sparkle Beauty Box

"Dream big, sparkle more, shine bright" what a lovely message to see when you open a beauty box. I've seen so many different types of beauty boxes and I've never really been drawn to any of them. A few weeks ago I didn't even know that Look Fantastic existed until I saw their advert for the Beauty Calendar and that's when I discovered these boxes.

I liked how much attention they put into each box, theres a theme and the products inside go with the theme of the box. With each box you also get an Elle magazine which I think is such a nice gesture, for me I love sitting down with a magazine and a cup of tea but the problem is actually going out and getting one. So having a magazine each month is a nice touch - perfect for winter!

It also comes with a booklet with information about each product you receive and how to use it which is so helpful!

So after much research and a little sneak peak into the previous boxes this year and seeing what amazing brands they had in the boxes I took a look at the subscriptions they offered.

After a few glasses of pinot I'd fully convinced myself that I need a gift from me to me at the beginning of each month so I decided to go with the 12 month subscription which is £11.25 each month which is amazing considering how many products you get and the quality. Here's what's in this months box!

This product is one that I keep seeing everywhere so I'm so excited to try this! (We all know how much I love my hair oils!) It's described as lightweight hair treatment infused with avocado and grape seed oil to nourish the hair and provide antioxidant protection against environmental aggressors. This product will be perfect for the colder months to bring shine back into our hair and protect it against this weather!

This is a brand that I've never heard of before so I'll definitely be giving this a go. It's packed with so many natural ingredients which are great for the skin such as Rose Essential Oil, Evening Primrose Oil, Peptides and Blackcurrant Seed Oil. This balm is described as a 'winter saviour' that is supposed to reduce redness and soothe irritation as well as leaving skin balanced and hydrated.

I've never tried these brushes before but I've always looked at them and thought that they look like good quality brushes and I was right this is a good quality brush, the bristles feel so fluffy! I don't get on with angled blending brushes but I'm sure I'll find a use for this. These brushes are allergy free and environmentally friendly!

Model Co Blush Cheek Powder in Peach Bellini
I've never tried Model Co products until today so I was excited to try this today, and I love it! I tend to steer clear from blushers I only really like peach/apricot tones so the fact that this was a peachy blush made me so happy. It's got a bit of shimmer to it but barely noticeable on the skin, the product picks up so well it's very pigmented so you don't need a lot!

This is another interesting product because it's a spray gel, at first I was like hold on what does that mean. So I checked the booklet and its for volume and lift in your hair JUST WHAT I NEED. Having long thick hair means that my hair is very heavy and any curls or volume I put in can drop within an hour. I'm curious to see how this hold my hair in place! This product uses Cushion Particle Technology to lift hair from the roots.

Last but not least is this little guy. To be honest i've never heard of anything as a foot and leg spray but now that I've read what it's for it seems like something I need in my life. This product is said to be ideal for aching limbs and the extracts in it alleviate water tension and revitalise tired legs. For anyone who works in retail (aka me) I feel like this would be a good product. This will also come in handy at 3am when I've been in heels for hours when I go out over christmas and my feet can't take another step. I'm so curious to see how this works for me!

Those are the products that are in November's Look Fantastic Sparkle Beauty Box! I can't wait to see what's in Decembers! I'm so happy with this and I can't wait to get started using all my products! Are you subscribed to any beauty boxes? Let me know in the comments! See you soon!

Keep Your Skin Hydrated This Winter

I don't care what anyone says, for me, it's Christmas time! Bonfire night is over so it is well and truly Christmas! We're well and truly into winter now because it's getting colder by the day! and as much as I love Winter, it does no favours for my skin. As soon as November hits every year my skin feels tight, dry and begs for moisture. So these are my favourite body and face products that have been keeping my skin well moisturised lately!

When it comes to body care I'm so picky because I don't really like things that have a fragrance. Perfumed body lotions scare me, and I do prefer products with natural ingredients in a moisturiser it makes me so much more confident in what I'm putting on my skin! I love this moisturiser because it's fragrance free and super moisturising! This is only the lotion as well they do other products which are richer if you have extremely dry skin too! I love applying this on a night and when I wake up in the morning my skin is so soft and so well moisturised! I truly recommend this and I can't wait to try more products from this brand!

If you follow me on Instagram you'll have seen me post about my current favourite Kiehl's combo, featuring this little beauty! This is an essential product for me this winter because not only is it a face mask but it has cranberry seeds in it as well to exfoliate, so when you are rinsing the mask off the cranberry seeds are exfoliating your skin which is amazing. This is a great product because it makes my skin so radiant which I love because in the colder months my skin can look dull, I feel like this product brings it back to life!

This is one of my favourite skincare products lately, I've been using it for just over a month now and it's truly amazing! All you need is a few drops at night before you sleep and you wake up with such radiant skin. Sometimes using this on it's own is enough but sometimes I add a few drops to my regular moisturiser to add extra moisture when my skin needs it!

Those are my holygrail products to keep my skin hydrated and radiant in these cold months, and just because it's getting colder doesn't mean we should reduce our water intake either! That is essential for hydrated healthy skin! What are your favourite products to use to keep your skin hydrated? Let me know in the comments! See you soon!

    Recent Autumn Loves

Who doesn't love makeup? What better way to treat yourself than some luxury goods! Here's a few things that I've picked up lately!

This bronzer is definitely pricey but it's quality certainly makes up for it! It's a beautiful warm brown, similar to MAC Give Me Sun which you all know is my favourite bronzer. But recently I've been reaching for this. I use an angled brush to focus the product just underneath my cheekbone next to my ear and then diffuse it carving out my cheekbone. I also apply the product to my temples and hairline for an all over bronzed look.

I talked about how much I love this lipstick in my Autumn Lipstick Picks. It's the perfect autumn shade so I think I'll be getting my wear out of this for the rest of 2016.

How did I not know this existed and why does no one talk about it?! It's a clear gloss with gold flecks in it and it is absolutely stunning! We all know how picky I am about the stickiness of lip glosses so thank god that this one is not sticky, it's actually quite moisturising!

(Left to right) Guerlain Terracotta Four Seasons Bronzer 05 Moyen, Laura Mercier Lip Glacé in Bronze Gold Accent, Tom Ford Black Dahlia.

Those are my picks that I've been loving lately! What are your favourite products that you've been loving recently? Let me know in the comments below! See you soon!

Bondi Sands Liquid Gold Tanning Dry Oil Review

Monday morning is back again! There are certain things that I can do the night before that make me have a better Monday, one of them is tanning. Having a tan makes me feel ten times better about myself so I'm always tanning throughout the week! After seeing how popular the Bondi Sands Liquid Gold Self Tanning Dry Oil was and how much Lydia Elise Millen raves about it, I decided to give it a go.

I always apply my tan before I go to bed so that it develops whilst I'm sleeping so in the morning I'm a golden goddess. I apply all my tans with a mitt (I switch between standard mitts and velvet ones).

What I love about this fake tan is the colour, it gives a beautiful olive toned tan which can be hard to find. It also smells like coconut and any beauty products that smell like coconut I am all over them like a rash! Because the tan is an oil it keeps your skin moisturised meaning that it doesn't wear off patchy which is a nightmare for all us serial tanners.

The only thing that I don't like about this tan is that even though it is a dry oil, it doesn't dry instantly so even the next morning my skin still feels well moisturised (damp). If you don't mind this then that's great, I think I'm just being picky because I love my tans that dry instantly!

Overall I love this tan for once a week use and top it up as it wears off with my instant tans. It smells beautiful and has a lovely colour! let me know what your favourite self tanners are  or if you have tried any of the other Bondi Sands products in the comments!

    Smokey Wing Tutorial

    Product Details:
Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance palette - Burnt Orange, Primavera and Cyprus Umber.
    MAC Eyeliner - Feline

    Brush Details:

This look was inspired by a particular photo on instagram from makeup artist Keilidh Cashell. I'd never tried anything like this before but I loved how effortless it looked on her so I decided to try it myself and let me tell you I didn't want to take it off.

Using a MAC 224 brush I blended Burnt Orange from the Modern Renaissance palette into my crease and all over my lid, I also used a Morphe E17 brush to blend this shade on the lower lash line. I then used a MAC 219 brush to add the shade Primavera to the inner corner of my eye.

Next I started on the smokey wing. I used Maybelline Gel Liner and a MAC 210 brush (the perfect combination) and did a normal wing making sure that I didn't take it too far out. I then used MAC Feline Eyeliner and lined my waterline.

The next step is smoking out the wing which requires some patience. Using a MAC 211 brush and the shade Cyprus Umber I began Going over the edges of the wing creating a gradient. I also did this on the lower lash line. Then I repeated this step with the Corrupt eyeshadow but kept it closer to the wing itself. I then repeated this again with the Cyprus Umber eyeshadow and again with Corrupt to make sure that the original lines of the wing were seamlessly blended out.

After this was complete I popped on some mascara and some Demi Wispie lashes!

Let me know if you've used any of these products and what you think or if you have tried something similar yourself. See you soon!
